Programming in OpenDX
In this laboratory exercise you'll be learning the basics for creating
your own OpenDX visual programs. We'll do this in four
stages. First you'll create a simple "Hello, World!"
program. Then we will move onto creating and matanipulating 3D
scalar fields. In the thrid section you learn how to examine 3D
vector fields. Finally, you'll apply your knowledge to explore
the drift motions of partciles in the magnetosphere.
Each section of the lab will be presented using webpages with basic
instructions for building the visual program. It will also
contain several challenge questions. You should attempt to build
the program yourself, but if you run into difficulty you can click on
the question for a detailed discussion of how to accomplish the task.
When you complete each section come back to this page and move onto the
next task.
